At Paul Martyn Furniture Maker, our aim is to create furniture that enriches people's lives. We believe that furniture should not only be functional, but also beautiful and inspiring. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality furniture that will last for generations.
Paul has been making hand-crafted furniture for over 35 years, using traditional and modern techniques to create furniture that is both beautiful and functional. We use only the finest materials and pay close attention to every detail to ensure that our furniture meets the highest standards of quality.
Our furniture is all made to your specific needs following detailed discussions and a visit to your home. If you know what you want but are not quite sure how it should look we're happy to put our 35 plus years exprience to work to help you come up with a design that suits your needs.
Where possible we like to use locally sourced hardwoods such as Oak, Beech and Ash.
Concave Front Wall Cabinet in Spalted Beech. The dramatic figuring on the curved doors of this little cabinet, with the small hand-carved knobs, makes it a favourite.
Hall/Side Table. This is an early favourite of mine which I have made in different timbers, including this one in Oak and in New Zealand timbers Kauri and Rimu.
This Nest of Tables is made from local Ash with a Lakeland Slate coaster set into the top of each.
Oak Coffee Table with detail in Australian Jarrah. 1 of 3 for a client that I had the good fortune to work on over the period of Covid 19 lockdown.
Oak Sideboard with Jarrah Detail.
